Gianni Ascarelli, co-founder of Studio Transit in 1972, recently delivered a lecture titled “Studio Transit: Formal and Typological Evolution of Residential Architecture from 1975 to 2023” in the main auditorium of the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia, La Sapienza University.

During the lecture, Professor Ascarelli discussed the formal and technological transformations of Studio Transit’s residential architecture over the past five decades and how their unique design approach has evolved to meet changing social and economic conditions.

He also highlighted the evolution of design techniques during these years and how they have not only impacted construction but also the typology of living spaces.

 

The lecture was moderated by Eliana Cangelli, Associate Professor of Environmental and Technological Design at Sapienza University of Rome.
