The project is divided into several components: a new office building, the pedestrianization of Via di S. Galla, a new central plaza planned within the complex and the restoration of the “Ex Manifattura Tabacchi”, an element basement for public services (gym, library, daycare center, conference room), a surface system of public open space: boulevard, green areas, squares and pedestrian routes and a system of car parks and underground parking.
The proposal for the project financing competition of “Campidoglio 2” provides for the transfer of all administrative functions of the Central Offices of the City of Rome in a single location.
