This vast ecclesiastical complex was also designed to provide a powerful reference in the peripheral neighbourhood of Paternò, located on the slopes of Mount Etna.
The church hall features fine acoustics; wrapped in a golden hue it is covered by the shell of a shed-like wooden structure.
The project thus privileged the area of the church square, surrounded by large porticoes that constitute a true and proper plaza, slightly underground, for the entire community. The tall and emblematic bell tower acts as a new urban obelisk.
