The dual vocation of the building is clearly expressed in the material elevations, which fit naturally into the context, stitching together the urban wings of the block.
The ventilated façade takes up colors linked to the historical image of the city, guaranteeing technological efficiency; the rhythm of full and empty spaces delicately shakes the otherwise rigid structure of the façades.
A diagonal cut dissects the building, opening a passage that houses the entrance and the loggias of the apartments on the upper floors. The internal facades reveal the modern nature of the intervention and a greater degree of transparency and permeability.
Large balconies run along the two south-facing sides, protected by a system of mobile brise-soleils made of recomposed wood slats.
Aesthetics and sustainability find their synthesis here: on the balconies of the highest floors, solar greenhouses help to maximize comfort and energy efficiency of the project. The glass parapets, also featured on the ground floor, dissolve the internal-external separation, while the opaque vertical elements are reduced to a minimum here: the building seems almost suspended above a permeable surface, where light and greenery elevate the quality of the common spaces
