This project initiated in the mid 1980s and completed for the Jubilee Year 2000, extends the A Line towards the west, with 5 new stations.
Where possible, the new stations function as centres of aggregation, qualifying the panorama of the periphery with scarce urban value.
Of these, Cipro-Musei Vaticani is articulated as an outdoor complex-plaza, connecting different paths arriving from various parts of the city and channelling them downwards, beneath a transparent roof structure.
