Immersed in the uncontaminated landscape of the Maremma coast, this villa was subject to an initial “cleaning” to remove all of the superficial and all of the additions that, over the years, had modified its original appearance and layout.

The renovation continued with a re-interpretation of the existing envelope, in all of its most fascinating aspects: a double-height space, defined by the wooden frames of the windows and doors and the vast glazed surfaces overlooking the bay in front of the house; an open and completely transparent living room-kitchen on the ground floor.

The interiors are characterised by extremely simple furnishings, while multiple interconnected spaces and transparent partitions define a sense of multi-functionality.

Elements of reference to the 1960s are clearly evident: the kitchen, for example, where the orignal ceramic cladding and paving, with its pattern of blue dots on a yellow background, were restored.
